I am an academic public health doctor and a statistician. I am a Professor of Public Health and Dean of the School of Medicine and Population Health at the University of Sheffield.

My research interests relate to the management of uncertainty and the value of information in decision making, particularly when we use mathematical and computer models to predict clinical or policy outcomes.
