Howard Thom

I am a Senior Lecturer in Health Economics at the University of Bristol and Managing Director of the consultancy Clifton Insight. I work in health economic modelling and evidence synthesis and am involved in a number of applied and methodological research projects. My methodological interests include disconnected networks in network meta-analysis, value of information for adaptive trial designs, and structural uncertainty in cost-effectiveness models. My applied research covers the areas of oncology, coeliac disease, cardiology, neurology, mental health and orthopaedic surgery. I furthermore lead the REEEVR tool for automatic conversion of Excel models into R.
