Ed Wilson
I am professor of health economics and health policy at the University of Exeter and director of the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG), an external assessment group (EAG) reviewing industry reimbursement submissions on behalf of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I have around 25 years’ experience in economic evaluation and decision modelling, mostly as an academic economist at the universities of York, Cambridge and East Anglia, but with short spells in industry too. I have published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters as well as serving as a member of NICE’s highly specialised technologies appraisal committee. My research interests focus on decision analytic modelling, expert elicitation of parameters for models in the absence of robust data, and value of information analysis.
